I hope more people can understand Chinese music and enjoy it. 🎶 The Beauty of Chinese Music: Plucked String Instruments Special 🎶 Today we’re diving into the enchanting world of Chinese plucked string instruments. These instruments have a rich history and play a vital role in traditional Chinese music. Pipa: Pear-shaped wooden body and four strings, producing a bright, lively sound for both battle scenes and love stories. Guzheng: Zither-like with over 2,500 years of history, 21 strings, known for melodious and expressive tones. Ruan: Round body and four strings, warm, resonant sound, perfect for solo and ensemble pieces. Liuqin: Smaller four-stringed instrument, bright, crisp sound, featured in fast-paced compositions. Yangqin: Played by striking strings with bamboo mallets, clear and penetrating sound, adds unique texture to orchestras.
