Mali Liu

Introduce

Mali liu’s profile (2022/10/23 revised) Dr. Mali Liu is a choral conductor, musicologist, author, audio engineer and playwright. She holds a Ph.D in Musicology at National Taiwan Normal University and master of music degree from Cleveland State University. She hosts radio programs on Taipei Broadcasting Station and IC Broadcasting Co. She also teaches in music department at Fu Jen Catholic University, National Dong Hwa University, and directs Shi-Hsin University Chorus. She is a three time Golden Bell Awards recipient in 2009 and 2011 for Best Program and Best Host from The Government Information Office. Her program was nominated for the 7th time. In choral conducting field, she has received numerous awards from Taiwan and International stages. She has delegated of UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers since 2018. In addition to radio and conducting career. She is an active lecturer, author, concert critics. Her articles can be found on many academic journals and concert program notes. In addition, she is a professional music and film critic.

Taipei Broadcasting Station, as a public media platform focusing on sound in Taipei City, is dedicated to sharing and promoting Taipei. Its mission is to become a professional soundscape radio station for Taipei. To fulfill the station's purpose of "enriching the city's soundscape and shaping the image of the capital's radio station," this project aims to explore and collect Taipei's diverse auditory characteristics, narrate the city's rich natural and cultural charm, convey Taipei's urban imagery through sound, and celebrate the 140th anniversary of Taipei's founding.
