Dear listeners, I am very happy to introduce to you my musical instrument, the accordion. This conforms with the spirit of the "The Relativity and Parallel between east and west”. The sheng is the first known instrument to use the free vibrating reed principle, which is the basis of the accordion's sound production. Both instruments belong to the free reed aerophone music instruments family.

Parovel
There are many theories how the sheng came to Europe. Some scientists think the sheng was brought in the 13th century to Europe by Marco Polo, French sources claim the sheng came to Paris by French monks after returning from their missionary in China, and other scientists think the sheng found its way to Europe with Tatars over Russia.

笙如何傳入歐洲有多種說法。 一些科學家認為笙是在13 世紀由馬可•波羅帶到歐洲的，法國則是認為笙是由法國僧侶從中國傳教回來後帶到巴黎的，而其他科學家則認為纈是隨著韃靼人從俄羅斯傳入歐洲的。
