Maestra Morna Edmundson is a well-known Canadian choral conductor with an outstanding reputation. She has been passionate about choral singing since she was a child and earned vocal degrees in Vancouver, Bellingham and Stockholm, Sweden. In 1987 she co-founded the Elektra Girls Chorus with Diane Loomer and became sole artistic director in 2009. She also served as Artistic Director of EnChor Chorale and served as Associate Artistic Director of Coastal Sound Music Academy for 14 years. Morna has served as a judge across North America and Asia and has received several awards and honors, including the Healey Willan Award and the BC Community Achievement Award. She currently serves as President of Choral Canada and in 2023 received an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of British Columbia.
