The 2024 season builds on the 2023 series “Formosa Stories of 52 Music Messengers,” shifting focus to the past century of musical migration and cultural exchange in Taiwan. The series investigates:  The lives and legacies of musicians, educators, and ethnomusicologists who came to Taiwan from abroad and shaped its musical identity  The intertextuality between Eastern and Western music traditions  The role of music in times of war, displacement, and social transformation  The emotional and political power of music as a tool for peace, memory, and resistance Each episode is crafted as a standalone documentary, using a mobile studio approach to conduct interviews in diverse environments. The program incorporates eyewitness accounts, primary sources, and rare archival materials, offering a layered and investigative narrative structure.
